Simeon D’Arcy
Director/Owner of Vibe Dance Studios From a very young age I danced or have been involved in the dance and art world. Starting with ballet and then moving on to modern/contemporary, I loved to dance at any opportunity. Growing up in an extremely creative home made my pull towards the arts even stronger. I continued to dance for the next 15 years for the pure love of the movement and expression dance afforded me. I never lost the passion for dance, always immersing myself in the dance world through theatre productions and now through my children and of course through Vibe Dance Studios. I am blessed to have two children that share my passion for dance and I have the unique perspective of being a parent at Vibe Dance Studios as well as running things in the background. With this perspective I am able to improve issues that we face from both angles, thus making it an amazing dance school for my staff as well as my students! My education background is in Psychology where I obtained my Psychology Honours degree (Cum Laude) and then went on to qualify as a Psychometrist, while also counselling individuals and couples. My need to broaden my horizons took me overseas and I eventually settled in England where I honed my administrative skills by becoming an Executive Assistant in the Banking Industry. However, I soon realised the corporate world was not for me as I longed to work with children and I needed to be around creative people. Working with children has always been my dream, I just had to find a way to make it happen! When I managed Vibe Dance Studios in 2012, I realised that this was a perfect balance of my administrative background, while fulfilling all my other wish lists and more! Not forgetting my talented team of teachers, who I rely on heavily for their extensive dance knowledge and talent, I am able to own and run this amazing dance studio! With the support of my family, our teachers and students we can only go from strength to strength at Vibe Dance Studios. Please join us as we grow and learn as the Vibe Family. |
